Well we have owned our present Conqueror 640 lux for some 8 yrs now and have been very lucky with it the van being barely 3 yrs old when we purchashed it but what makes me sick is not the build quality, but the the people who actually assemble these vans when new they are not using all screws in the windows the cover strips etc so no matter how the vans are desighned if this level of assembly is carried on vans are never going to improve thats my gripe for this wet day

...... thats my gripe for this wet day
I hope it gets better down in the South West - we'll be on our way soon. Very warm and humid here in Tamworth, no sign of rain yet. (Sorry - off topic)
When we dismantled the Swift Challenger, we found a very variable standard of assembly from one part of the van to another.
One side had stainless screws in the gutter/awning rail, the other side had the remains of steel plated screws.
There was also a big mound of filler that was where the roof had hit something and torn a hole. Professionally repaired and repainted, I wonder if that was done on delivery?
Both roof lights had leaked and one rear corner was structually weak where the wood had rotted.

You should never buy a Monday van cause the workers cant be bothered at being back at work or,a Friday van as their thinking of the weekend..
and in between their resting so it leaves DIY then you will know
