Me too - but with the short mast that clips between the offside awning rail and window rail. Also fitted an external coax socket near the offside front steady so it's dead easy to connect without going through the window.
Jim
PS I removed the useless omnidirectional Status aerial and fitted the blanking plate.

Had both and the second on is the better one. If you don't have built in free view in your TV you'll need to buy a free view box. Not trying to tell you how to suck eggs but I trust your television is digital ?

Hi ... Our status aerial doesn't seem to pick up many digital channels or analogue channels...
I assume you have Freeview, given your opening question. I have the VisionPlus Image 420 as per your 2nd link and it works a dream. Did some comparisons a few years ago and although you can get better aerials, I found this worked well for all-round use.
I also fitted an external aerial socket so I have the option of using either the built-in aerial on the van (works perfect where I am at the moment, so no external aerial rigged-up), or use the VisionPlus if necessary.
Remember too that a huge chunk of the UK is now no longer running analogue TV broadcasts.

I have the Image 610 kit which is nearly half the price of the 620 kit and it works perfectly, very pleased with it. I also use an app on my android phone which tells me in which direction to point it.

My status works perfect when the amp is switched on, get nothing with the amp off. I would check the amp and connections before spending any money and as mentioned you do have a Freeview box!

As you already have an omni-directional status, can you not use a directional status in its place?

Is this the Omnidirectional version? There were two models which looked identical except for the earlier one having a purple logo and the later one having an orange logo. You need the correct PSU or booster for the relevent version. The later 'Orange' version should work with the booster off. On the site I'm at, I've got perfect reception with the Status, but did find that it operates better here with the booster by-passed; both aerial connections pulled out and coupled with a female/female adaptor.

The directional Status aerials are costly, but it's not always convenient to replace the Omni for directional as this can depend on clearance beneath aerial for the mast etc.

The polarisation of the transmitter makes a difference. Turning the aerial horizontally or vrtically makes a big difference to reception.
