Hi.  Thanks for reading this.  We have recently purchased a Freedom Jetstream but the instruction manual is in Polish.  We were told that it was 'easy to find an English version on line' but no luck so far.  I noticed from a Google search that someone asked a while ago but I can't locate the stream here.  Any help would be much appreciated.   Thank you.

Hi both

Thank you for your suggestions.  Much appreciated.

I am not sure how to send a PM  I had heard Wizzard might also be able to help but again not sure how to send messages here other than replies.

Thanks

Shandre

I am also after a Freedom Jetstream 1st. Class manual, so if you manage to locate one, could you please let me know where from. I was looking for the jacking points, and I thought there would be more information on the Freedom main dealer's website, but I could not find anything, so I have now sent them an email requesting the info.

Will do, giltbrook.  Perhaps you could do the same if you come across anything?  Still looking at the moment.

I have searched before and never found anything, so it is possible that a user manual does not exist in English, so if you can find someone that speaks Polish, and can translate the manual, we might be on to a winner. I had a quick response to my email from the Freedom dealers though, regarding the jacking points, which are either under the axle, or under the chassis member near the wheel, it was also suggested that the steadies are used with the jack for extra support, and I have asked for clarification on which of steadies this refers to, I wil post back when I get the info. I had phoned them a couple of months ago regarding tyre pressures for the Freedom 13" wheels, and was given 34psi, so they are very good at answering queries, it is just a pity the information is not readilly available on the website.

Thanks.  I'll probably be going to Stafford later in the year.  Will let you know if I am able to glean anything more.  I have yet to do battle with the water heater etc so that should be an experience

I have just received an email from Freedom at Stafford concerning the use of steadies whilst using the jack, the steadies should be used on the side you are working on for extra support when the caravan is raised.

The electric water heater is pretty straight forward if it is a Truma Therme like mine, as most of their information is on the web. Below is a link to the pdf of a similar unit to mine, except that one shows it doubling for the warm air heating, but my van has a separate gas unit for the warm air, which is useful if their is no mains hook up. If there is mains hook up, I use a 450 watt oil filled radiator.

How kind.  Thank you very much indeed. Having had a quick read, they look really helpful. I shall probably use the heater on the gas if only to maintain as much space as possible in the van.  Having never had a gas heater before, I'm not sure how much gas they use.  All trial an error at the moment.

Thanks again.

The gas consumption can be found in the manual, (figures as below), but the actual gas used would probably be less per hour as the thermostat would be controlling the heat. One thing worth checking is the flexible hose from the heater, which feeds the warm air to the vent in the front panel below the seat. Mine has a habit of coming off at the heater, and lying loose below it. I meant to put a plastic tie around it, but as I don't use it very often, I keep forgetting it.

Type of gas
Liquid gas (propane / butane)
Operating pressure
30 mbar (see type plate)
Rated thermal output
High setting: 2400 W
Low setting: 1200 W
Gas consumption
High setting: 200 g/h
Low setting: 100 g/h

Welcome to UKCS.
This is a very old post and some of the members might not be around now.
If you have, or know someone who has, Facebook, there is a Freedom Caravan Owners Club on there.
That could help.
