Can anyone comment on Eriba puck versus Tab? I'm considering a small van and these fit the bill re size. I'm more interested in how they compare re quality, lifespan etc than comments about the size. Any other comments welcome.

We have a Tab 400 L that's the larger one with a fixed double bed and a shower and toilet room. We bought it second hand last year its a 2008 model. Like Eriba's which we were also interested in they hold their prices really well and getting hold of one can be as rare as hen's teeth. I recommend visiting the Tab Forum Like Eriba they have a bit of a cult following. They are really well built don't suffer damp and are light and easy to tow. Obviously the Eriba has been around a lot longer so there is a good legacy of how they last. The build quality of out T at b is brilliant and we haven't had any problems, just had a service at an 'ordinary' listed caravan service centre and they remarked on the quality of build and told us we had a great well built van that should last us many many years.
Good luck with your search, I'm sure which ever choice you make you will be pleased.
PS I think they are both head turners, we always get people asking for a look round when we are on a site, when we were at Delamere a man who had an Eriba Puck had a good look around ours and said he really wanted one, but they are a bit more pricey than the Puck. Depending on your budget I would try and have a good look around both before deciding which to go for, they are both excellent Vans it will in the end just depend on your requirements and preferences.

Thanks Chrisnel, I know you have the bigger tab but have you seen inside the smaller ones? Info on web says you can comfortably seat 4 adults round the table, would that be right?

I have been inside one of the teeny ones and was amazed at how well they are designed and how spacey it felt despite its size ,tardis sprang to mind .
We viewed them at Catterick caravans ,not sure if they still have them  there though .

Hi this You tube video should give you a good idea, T at b 320
I know people with the small tab and they describe them just as skittlez does Tardis like. I have seen them with 4 adults and 2 children sat around the table. Plus the bed is HUGE when made up about 6'6" by 6'6". If you are interested I would still recommend visiting the T at b forum and having a nose seeing what owners say and having a look at the photos. If you do want to buy that is how we got ours - I put a post for the 400L on the wanted page.
The places that sell new are Springbank in Shropshire
Southdown near Portsmouth (I think) and Catterick caravans but most people reckon Catterick are not good since they know nothing about the Tabs they sell. Just Google Tab caravan and any of the above names and you'll find their websites.

Happy searching

I popped into an Eriba dealer today and have decided the Eriba is for me. They are just brilliant. Initially I wanted the puck but have changed my mind and fancy the familia instead as they are only slightly bigger. I also managed to get the "Eriba out of business" business Sussed as well. They're not! Eriba Ltd (UK) has folded. Hymer in Europe are still producing Eribas, but stopped making the Puck. I went to Jandi's on way home from Aviemore and found them very helpful. Now to start saving!
