Hi. I don't know why but I am finding it v hard to work out what size of porch awning will fit my Elddis Avante 544.
I am assuming that a porch awning must be fitted onto the straight part of the awning rail only, and that it shouldn't end part way over a window. If an awning is stated as, eg, 260 wide, is the 260 at the top, the base or midway/at window height? Or is the measurement the same all the way down?
There are three windows (plus the door)on the relevant side of my van and I am struggling to find a traditional porch awning that will fit between them. Any help appreciated! Thanks.

Our Kampa 260 is 2.6 metres across the floor width and is also 2.6 m off the van side as the floor is square. The walls of the awning fit nicely between the rear of the side window and the rear of the door, and the walls are vertical so also 2.6 m apart. I think I have a pic on my profile.
The Kampa Rally is also the floor size, available in 2.0mtr, 260cm, or 390cm and a good quality awning at a reasonable price, we have the 260cm on our Lunar and are very please with it, very quick and easy to erect too. We would recommend buying the rear upright poles and storm straps to make a very weatherproof awning.

It depends on the make of awning. See Isabella sizes where they link to each awning size and model and on the diagrams give the frame sizes which are the controlling factor. Note that in the case of Isabella porches the length of the awning is longer than the frame size which indicates that the measurement at the ground is greater than at the awning rail. The last time I was looking for a porch awning I made a little diagram with measurements of window, door and gaps between them as it save loads of time when working out what would fit.
