Sorry am a newbie but have searched the internet and cant find the correct info.

I need to know the wiring from the BACK of the socket of a 12N socket (not the front) I have got confused as there are loads of sites and some say wire
              1
       2             6
              7
       3             5
              4

and others say reverse 2&6 and 3&5

None of the ones I have found say which is the correct from the rear of the socket.

Please can someone help am going mad

THIS IS THE 12n PLUG WHAT WE HAVE  but these numbers . 

It is reversing 2 to 6    &    3  to 5   nothing wrong with mine perfectly okay

1) yellow  

2( Blue    

3)White     

4) Green  

5) Brown  

6) Red     

7) Black   

done it for you had it in my black book when I needed it.

Yup! I Google 12n & 12s wiring plug see for yourself

This diagram has the details of the pins and their functions as if you were sitting behind the car looking at the towball..

Obiously if you are looking from the back then 2&6  3&5 will be mirror imaged/ reversed.. There are some pdf files on the same site with instructions, they are reversed because when you are wiring up you are behind the socket..

I can see the problem as I google 12n & 12s wiring plugs and it is the one we have  above but with the number's 6+2 & 3+5 the other side. also colours was differing . Oh! boy glad ours works but with our wiring diagram

Thats good thats what i thought so if Im wiring from the back of the socket - mine is a westwalia and you push the wires in from the rear of the socket.
