Hi

Managed to get frame up and all looking good except, the front corners poles - short corner poles that have hook attached to hold overlap out.  At the moment these are sticking out eiher side so not doing what they should.  Cant work out how to get corner ends thats have 3 parts - one wobbly, So that the small pole with hook sits to the front.  Sorry for the alck of technical terminolgy but totally new to this.  Took 4 hours to erect the rest, and hours of searching online in attempt to fix.  So thought I would ask the experts.  Posting this for my sister.

Can add pics if this doesnt make sense

Thanks

thanks for your reply.  Its an older style Classic Awning, has been used many time as the poles are colour coded from previous owner and all neatly stored.  Think its my sisters having a mental block lol

The wobbly bit connects to the roof poles coming from the awning rail.
The small pole with the hook connects opposite the wobbly bit.

I can't make up my mind if I've read this right...

Are you refering to the short poles that extend from each front corner, going through the canvas to the front, then hook onto a brass ring to hold the external flap out?
These poles slide ever so slightly in their bracket and are held firm by pushing backwards until they click into place. There's a small pin on the back end of them that marries up with a hole in their respective brackets. To dismantle, the poles poles forward to disengage.

Any good, or barking up the wrong tree..?

Hi

Thanks for the replies. Its actually my sister Im posting this for so Im not sure. G7ACU you are def barking up the right tree lol. It is the short poles that have the hook at front for the external flap - we dont seem to know where these go as we cant see an attachment (if thats the right term). So am I reading your reply correct......at the end of these poles there should be a hole on the inner frame poles that the "hooky" poles pin should push back in to??? But I cant for the life of me remember if they had these??

Birder99 that would be fantastic, we have spent way to many hours on this. Not easy today with 2 year old twins and my 6 year old running around. We have it attached to the side garden fence lol

My email is weekazza2000ATyahooDOTcom

Thanks all
