Indeed good service Adrian. I had no problem with the engineer who came out to my van, they are not employed directly by Powertouch, but independent Caravan Mobile Engineers. My problem was in the advice given by the Technical Dept, in this instance, which was quite clearly incorrect as my van proves. Thats what I call poor service. Oh and still no reply to my e-mail despite a promise and reminder by me.

Coincidence or what - OK 6 yrs (to the day!) old but used may be 20 (max) times in total only & 1 hex shaft broke in same (weakened) place on our double axle 4WD Powertouch mover!
Hope replacement is available & it isn't too difficult to fit! What have they changed on newer models to stop new design being fitted to 5/6 yr old mover?
Has anyone replaced a Hex Shaft on a PWRT Type 6 mover & if so can may be advise me with regards to removing old & fitting new please?
May be Powertouch may like to advise - will phone them tomorrow so watch this space! Will report as seen & will give credit if due so hope to have my faith in Powertouch boosted!
Many Thanks, Trevor

I understand Powrwheel recently changed ownership. This may explain the change in service too.

You have me concerned now. I have a powrtouch mover about 6 years old. I might remove the shafts from mine and turn my own replacements.

Good idea Dave, wish I had a lathe too! Don't know if they are side differences but mine is broken on the near side.
Change of ownership could explain problems?
Rgds Trevor

P.S. Just phoned them & although they have relocated they are still the same owners/management.
Anyway, no one technical available but they took my tel nos & are to phone me back later this morning - watch this space !!
