Bought pricey but highly rated milenco grand aeros- view is fantastic but the buggers are wobblier than a jelly at a 5 yr olds tea party. Am feeling seasick just looking in them (don't worry campers-am not texting and driving, OH is steering).
These are so highly recommended-any suggestions? Would be amazing if you came up with a solution before we get to our destination....

Sorry - no solution, but thanks for posting this. We have Suck it and See mirrors which are fine since they are so quick and easy to put on and you can adjust electrically from inside the car BUT OH is complaining about the wobble on them, so, after reading many recommendations he was going to buy a pair of Milenco Grand-Aeros. Shall now think again.

Any recommendations for mirrors that DON'T wobble much appreciated.

I had a similar problem when I fiitted mine for the first time, I mounted them so that the longer side was horizontal though. It was fine when I turned the mirrors 90 degrees and had them vertical instead, little white reflectors to the outside.

Getting the supports as far apart as possible also helped.

Ironically I wanted the suck it and see
Mirrors, as recommended by fellow trainee on towing course. But mixed reviews whereas grand aero gets rave reviews every time. Poop. Will have another go following pickled onions suggestion and report back on Sunday's journey home.

Let us know how you get on as I was going to get some Grand Aero mirrors to replace my collection of ancient junk. I had assumed they should be mounted in portrait style as truck mirrors are.

I found the Grand Aero's wobbled too much; changed them for the standard Aero's which are far better but still 'shake' to a degree. I reckon it's got as much to do with the mirror onto which they're attached also.
As suggested, position clamps as far apart as you can. I position mine so the mirror head is only just clear of the cars mirror and this seems to keep movement to a minimum.

They don't wobble on my Sorento! Are you sure everything is tightened up correctly? Amongst the best towing mirrors I have had.

I have just changed my aero's for grand aero's. I must say the rear view is far superior, but yes they do wobble a bit (even on a Sorento). Have you got htem fitted verticley, as mine took some getting used to in this position, but is how they shouold be fitted

Not sure how these should be fitted now and am quite confused between setting these horizontal or vertical. I set both clamps on top of the car mirror housing as far apart as possible and then thread the extension bars through. then adjust the mirror accordingly. How can these be fitted vertically?

I have them on the sorrie and they dont move! mount them vertically and see if that improves things. Best mirrors I have ever had! To mount vertically just turn the mirrors after fitting.

We have them on a Navara and they wobble a little but not enough to be fussed about it, we have them vertically with white dots on outside (the mirror part swivels Nigel) - works fine :)

Sorry to be a little thick. Do I understand that to fit them vertically you fit the clamps to the side of the mirror housing and have the mirror at 90 degrees to the arms?

I fit mine like in the image below horizontally, cant see how its possible to fit them vertically on casings like this.

You've got it right Nigel, but they are standard Aeros not the Grand ones which are a bit rectangular in shape.

My Bailey S7 is 7ft 6ins wide so I opted for the longer bars, this gives me the rearward vision I want plus I can have the supports as far apart as I can get them on the mirror binacle.

On the way home today I tried them a different way and fastened them at the top.still used the strap from my old mirrors which poss didn't help. Offside was great, nearside still bad. Will persevere!
