Firstly I'd like to say a big thank you to all you wise people who post, otherswise I would have had no idea why our water heater wasn't working...it had tripped as there was air in it and so after I switched it off and waited voila it worked again.

However the problem is not completely solved. If we don't use the water for a while, for example over night it then has air in again, and has tripped out again. This is despite running it through when we refil the aquaroll and taping the pump whilst in use to get rid of air?

Does anyone know how to solve this and why air appears to keep getting in the hot water. Its often very spluttery. I don't have any signs of a leak

Hmm., check your filter housing. The slighlty older carver type often split on the thread where the filter screws in, or at the back, where the water enters the 'van system. Having had both happen to us.....

Um we have just been away for the weekend and I wanted to see if it happended again ( I know I was being hopefull)

Anyway yes it did. So I had a look round the water inlet and heater and am none the wiser. I can't even see a filter - where I connect the pump has an electrical connection on one side and then a small (about 1 cm) water inlet. From inside of the van I can see that the inlet goes directly into the heater. So where is the filter? Anyone know my set up? An Eldiss 505

Another question is that we got a 6 month warranty on the van (bought in June) so should we just go back to the dealer and ask him to sort it or is this just me being a novice?
