Think we will try to get all the way down now, there is a transport cafe we've found which also accepts caravans, it's only about 4 miles from the site we're staying on. Fingers crossed that's not full too.
cornwall this weekend. We have done both travelled through night and had stop over. we book in a premier inn in taunton and then carry on. Last year we drove through the night, but as we arrived in newquay at 6.30am we couldn't park on the site, we slept in morrisons car park ( which semed a poplar choice) til 8 am opening. had breakfast then parked on camp site at 9am and then went back to sleep.
I was sooo tired so although it more expense i do prefer to stop off

I did wonder if the laybays would be pretty full.

Hi p4thfnd3r, There is always the motorway service stations, ,(Last resort, you can have a sleep there for a few hours) but no longer as they will charge you for nights stay, I have used them on occasions, when I found myself getting very tired.

If in Doubt Check it Out.
In the past, I have called the campsite to ask if its possible to leave our trailer some where on site, if we arrive early. Usually its not a problem but they dont take responsibility for your stuff, and they might charge you for parking.
But at least if you get there early you can go and explore the local area or do a bit of shopping for booze etc, then get back at the right time to pitch tent/caravan.
Worth a thought.
