Now that we are spending 2-4 months abroad, the problem of gas cylinder exchange is more important.
While we normally run as much as possible on EHU to conserve gas, we have found this is not ideal since many sites only provide a 6 amp EHU, and where it is frequently 16 amp, e.g. in Germany, the supply is usually metered. With sites charging anything from 55 to 85 euro cents per kwh, it soon mounts up, especially when running the heating.
So we would like to be able to use more gas without having to worry about the refill situation.
Looking on the Gaslow website we have found that our nearest installer is almost 1 hour from here, and not in an area we pass often, so not easy to pop in and get prices.
Has anyone had such a system fitted, how have you got on with it (pros and cons), and a rough idea of the cost would be good?
