I have (85 amp) lesuire battery, it works fine on battery however the battery indicator on our zig panel never goes green and always shows red even though the battery is charged(I think).
Is there anyway to make sure the van is charging the battery and should the van auto charge the battery when on EHU??
New, I was just wandering if it takes ages before it turns the zig panels battery light to green?? And will it only turn green if on battery or if its fully charged?? Were going away in a week so I will take a multimeter and have a play.
some older caravans have a charger on /off switch somewhere, whilst later models tend to be automaticly switched on
remove the battery & with LHU connected with a meter across the battery leads on the van you should get 13.8v if you have nothing then the charger is not working
to check if the battery is fully charged let it stand for 12hrs (for float volts to disperse) with a meter you should get 12.8v
i have the same problem and have for 3 years, i wouldnt worry about it if you battery is charging, i was told in some of the older zig units they do this when one of the resistors i gone that controls the low battery warning, how true im unsure as i never looked any further into it.
