I'm back again!

We've been to see a 2003 Bailey Ranger 550, its at a dealers, I've no idea how long its been there for but in the bathroom area, the light above it was full of what looked like condensation, does that seem normal?

It is possible that it is normal as with it being hot and then cooling down quite possible. I am assuming that tbis caravan has a large bathroom area to the rear with a dinette on the side?
Ask for a full damp check and service to be done prior collection I think the older Baileys are better built than the newer ones. You should get at least a 6 month warranty on the caravan.

We looked at the same model before going for the 470/4 as it was lighter to tow, only needed 4 beds and the OH wanted the end bathroom. We borrowed a decent damp meter from a friend who used to PDI caravans and went over it completly. Although it has a 6 month warranty and no signs of damp we still wanted to do it for peace of mind. There was no moisture evident in the sky lights on our model and when you consider the dry weather we have had down here over recent weeks it would make me curious if there was. We intend to do another damp check mid winter while it is in storage as this will be the real test and also it will still be under the warranty!

Hi, we have a ranger 540/6 2010 model and if its cold outside we get condesation in the bunkbed areas around the lights, Had it checked during its first service and they said it was normal in cold conditions, No damp reported?? and no leaks.

Maybe food for thought.

Before we speculate any further, is this "light" a sky-light or an electrical light fitting?

And what exactly did this condensation look like?

Its in the actual electric light fitting. the plastic bit that covers the light was full of what looked like condesation. This is a van that is standing in a dealers, I have no idea how long its been standing there for.

It's hard to see on the pic but the water was lying like a puddle in the plastic bit.
