Ive had a look on youtube and although not the same the Tuscany awning apperars very similar so i can go from that video for help.

One final question - at the joins (both cantre and corner) there is one that can move. Does this one hold the poles that reach to the caravan???

Not sure what you mean  ...when you say "the joins" are we talking about where the `roof' poles join the upright ones ?

could the short poles be for and overhang type thing at the front

Yes exactly that - i didnt know which pole slots into the part join that is avaliable to move

Thing is on our old full awning the poles roof poles AND the uprightswere adjusatable.  Would think they all need to be so as to account for uneven ground in the case of the uprights in particular.  You need to be able to adjust the roof ones too so as to get the tension right as again uneven ground will affect things.
