Can anyone reccomend a good quality (i.e decent) set of towing mirrors suitable for a vauxhall Vectra? We will be collecting our first van in a few weeks and although I have looked at lots on the internet I would rather know which are the better ones to get........and the ones to avoid!
We've tried Suck & See mirrors but they only lasted 3 trips before one flew off while we were driving. We were also not keen on them because the suction part attaches over your cars own mirrors so you have no visibility out of them & rely entirely on the towing mirrors.
We've now bought the Pyramid Rock Steady mirrors & will use them for the 1st time next weekend. We chose them because they seem to attach securely to the car & leave the view through the cars mirrors free too.

It was lucky that the suck and see mirror didn't hit another vehicle. If they made them to fit our car I would go for the EMUK mirror.
Very lucky - scared the living daylights out of us! If we'd been going faster it could have caused all sorts of damage and/or injury. We'd used the elastic safety strap but it just ripped it apart as it came off. I know other people rate them but we'll never buy anything that relies on suction with a flimsy safety strap again.
We've had suck it and see but were to wobbly, we have milenco grand aero now and have to say expensive but worth it, don't budge an inch.

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
In defence of the suck it and see mirrors i have had a pair of these for 3 years (and i tow a lot) and they have never fallen off, been wobbly, or any thing else i place the mirrors in the corners that way you can still see out of the door mirrors
