We are buying our first caravan and my head is now nipping.

This may sound strange to all the accomplished caravan people out there but to the mere novice this is now stressful.

We bought pink and blue toilet fluid tonight. Can anyone please tell me in simple layman's terms where the pink goes and where the blue goes?

I would appreciate it.

Get one of those measuring cups that have a 1/4 cup measurement. That is the amount you need for both. Then in the cistern (flush) top up with water. Use a watering can as it's just easier to get the water in with one of these. As for the toilet casette, after the blue has gone in put about 1/2 pt water in.

It's not a strange question...we all started from somewhere.

Any more questions just fire away...there are plenty on here to help out....Oh and happy peeing!!!!

Phil

The Thetford stuff has the instructions on the side of the bottle. I always read it again just to be sure

But note that some versions of Thetford toilets don't have a specific "flush water" tank, they use the vans water system to flush with. These therefore don't require any pink agent. However we still use a solution of it in a separate B&Q hand spray to freshen the bowl.

Also worth noting that some of the fluids now are double concentrate, so some of the above measures could be halved with the new concentrates. Just read the side of the bottle each time, that's best bet.

There's a long thread somewhere about the differing scents that each one has, but its each to their own on that one!

David (also still a newbie at this having only been away in my van about 6 times so far since I bought in May)
