Im writing this on behalf of the inlaws. They have a bailey ranger 510/4 and the fridge wont work on electric hook up. Its working on gas but not on electric. We have checked fuses and stuff but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help us on this. We have a bailey ranger 500/5 and ours is working fine.

Hi angelmikey, On my van, though not a bailey, there is a separate AC switch for fridge, cable comes from fuse box, goes under drain board, and that is where my fridge switch is located, on the wall next to cutlery drawer, when I couldn’t get my fridge to work, it was murder trying to find it, maybe you have similar switch near the fridge, and as you have fridge working on gas, fridge must be reasonably level, almost forgot, there is a switch for fridge on the fridge panel, make sure it is switched ON.  hope that helps.

We've just had our fridge repaired because it wouldn't work on EHU or gas. (It stopped working on EHU and worked on gas for one trip before that stopped working as well).

Turned out the problem was the PCB (printed circuit board) that controlled everything - a relay on it had gone and it wasn't triggering the power on the fridge. Also wasn't triggering the gas igniter, which is why it didn't work on gas either.

A new PCB costs £185, so hope it isn't that  (our fridge is still under warranty so Dometic paid up).

thanks for all your help guys. Ive been underneath the seat and have found a seperate socket that the fridge plugs into. There is no switch on it so we checked that the socket was working by plugging in the radio, it was fine. We also changed the fuse in the fridge plug but that was also fine. The inlaws are taking the van back to where they bough it when we get home as they have also found a few other things that arent right . Dont think the place we got both vans from are going to like us as mine needs a new fly scren fitting across main door as we think the spring has gone so now it doesnt curl back up.
