I am looking at getting a Dorema awning for our Swift Accord 490 but dont know what size to get as the swift tech specs state awning A/A is 925cm. Do I get a size 11 (900-925) and be shorter by 1cm, or a size 12 (925-950) and be longer by 24cm.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dave

I would get the size 11, although I would also double check the measurement in the handbook by measuring myself.

To check the size, measure verticaly from the ground straight up the side, around the awning rail, and straight back down to the ground. do not follow the lower curve around the bottom of the van.

I would call Dorema and aks them directly. I happen to have their direct number! 01977 555215 - they will be the best people to give an opinion

If you get it too big it can be very difficult to get it taut enough. But on the other hand, too short and the ladder attachments that you peg through might not reach. I would be inclined to go for the bigger one as if you are on uneven sloping pitch and you have to use a levelling block on the awning side, you will need that extra few centimetres. Hope that helps.
