The usual rule is 'You get what you pay for', if that's any help.
If you are going to keep it, it pays to buy good, as you usually get an extra year or maybe 2 out of a good one.
Buy cheap and you takes your chances.
This applies to most things in life.

Normally you will only be able to buy from your local dealers in any event, as they are very heavy and also contain acid so few if any carriers will ship them. On line isnt usually an option, they are usually collect only. Caravan dealers and motor factors in your area are the place to be, and like most things, as is said above, you get what you pay for, but the most expensive wont always be the best.
It ought to be a Leisure, hobby, traction or semi traction battery to the appropriate European EN spec.
Banner, Varta & Exide are trust worthy makes.
There is a lot of poor stuff out there.
However good the battery is they all need using with care and can easily be hurt or wrecked. As a general care guide, try not to use more than 50% of the charge and never put the van away with the battery in a low state of charge.
hi numax are good just upgraded to a 110 from an 85, that is still going after 4 years the old 85 i mean .bought the 110 off ebay from a company in manchester about £90 2 year warranty delivered by courier free in 2 days. will forward company address and web site if you want it
Leisure batteries can be a lottery. The odds are slightly in your favour if you get a well known one, but an expensive one can still fail a day after the warranty expires whereas one that cost half as much can last 10 years.
I have seen many car batteries fail within a year and just as many batteries still going strong after 10 years an upwards.
We have always carried a spare leisure battery. We even got a third battery when we changed our caravan recently. Strangely enough, it appears that two of them have failed within a month. Rather than replace the battery I am seriously considering a large solar panel to keep the remaining battery full while on site without EHU rather than replacing the spare battery. I look at it as being better to have a bottomless bag than carry two bags, especially when you consider how small the price difference is now between a solar panel and a leisure battery.
We have an Elecsol 110ah battery in our 'van. It has a 5 year guarantee and does everything we ask of it including driving the motor mover at the end of the trip up 25 yards of driveway incline!
Well worth the money and delivered to your door on a 'next day' basis.
Best leisure battery I have ever used, no doubt. They guarantee that it can re-charge from absolutely flat too, several times!
