Just went on a tour round all the claimed professional tyre fitters in the Stirling asking for replacent tyres for my van only to be looked at as if i'd brought in a smell when I mentioned Tyron safety bands. Even ones who claim knowledge of then on their websites. I have 2 questions, does anyone in my area know where I can get them done and as they are hard to get 175/75R 99 has anyony replaced these with something easier ti find. PS cause of replacement was failure of the dreaded Matador Masters fitted by Swift.

I used Kwik-Fit. Their van came to where the caravan is stored, knowledgeable fitter (yes really!) fitted Tyrons, new tyres and balanced them, took old ones away - all on the spot in about an hour. On the Tyron web-site, they do suggest Kwik-Fit and I have to say, I was very satisfied. Hope this helps!

I have used e-tyres to swap caravan tryes with Tyron's although they do make a modest extra charge and its wise to make sure they understand that the fitter must bring the right equipment. If you go on their website they have a section with tyres suitable for caravan use.

You should get 175/80 102, these are 'standard' and only very slightly taller, plus readily available and a lot cheaper!

Tyre pressure will need a slight adjustment

I'd gladly tell you if I had the figures to hand (which I don't!) but I do remember it was all agreed on the phone beforehand etc. Basically, ask them - they were very straight with me.
