Hi lindjemp, I used hot water and fairy liquid for the first wash of the van, and have used AutoGlym Super Raisin Polish and the Extra Gloss Polish especially for the plastic front of van, brings up that dull faded look like new, have recently tried Grease Lightning's Showroom Shine, and it works very well keeps shine for long periods, (just rub on and buff off no water needed, even on dirty van) good shine when used on windows of van too, not to good for the dull faded van front though,AutoGlym better for that.
I have painted an old van many, many years ago, after a total re-build, brush painted it with enamel paint as the hole van was aluminium. (Not my choice of colour). hope that helps
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
