ive been enjoying this forum since we bought our caravan back in the early spring, every sunday / monday you can always guarentee that someone will have had a 'challenging' weekend away...be it noisy ignorant campers, loose dogs, unruly kids or flying tennis balls. we've always read these posts and thought, well at least we dont have those hassles where we go, well this weekend has been a right wake up call!! We've been away countless times this year both weekend and longer. For longer stays we always use the CC or C & CC sites but for weekends we stay local. Theres a lovely site close to us that does carp fishing, it has hook ups and is a mixed unit private site. We've been a few times this year, its been busy but never full and sometimes its been lovely and quiet. They only have 2 showers and three loo's so its best when not busy really.Anyway, we booked this bank hols knowing the weather was bad and though aw well, last trip before the schools go back. never in a million years did we expect the stressy weekend we had. It was packed..absolutely heaving. There was a huge motorhome with a caravan next to it ( the same party) not far from us and they were so loud you could hear the their conversation up to about 2 am. There were kids with tennis balls that hit our van and the loose dogs...drove us mad. Everytime our boy got out his tennis balls to play the bloody dog from said motorhome party legged off with it. The party in the motorhome were just completely ignorant. the dog kept going over to other caravans and hassling their dogs, its ambushed ours everytime we tried to go for a walk, in short they really p*ssed us off! i did mention it to the site manager but they didnt do anything...
what is with people who come to these sites and act like they own the bloody place??? In the end we came home a day early. We were up till about 1am listening to the ignorant gits sitting in their awning next door and then our little girl woke up at 4am when someone decided to drive round the site. enough was enough!! lesson learnt, CC and C & CC for us every time!

Don't blame you we only use C.C and second choice C&CC site's because of these sort of incidents and poor behaviour , at least if there's any problems the wardens will nip it in the bud .
Past experience's have totally put me of private site's because of the type of people who use them and the lack of action when you complain .
