Would a charge controller be needed when using a 4.8w solar panel to keep an 85ah battery topped up inbetween outings in van, can be anywhere between 1 to 8 weeks. The battery is completly disconnected when in storage, I ask as the van has been in storage for about 4 weeks since last use and the voltage is at 11.99v when I checked it this afternoon.
