Really quick, Jeff. Just been away for four and a half weeks and could have easily stayed for another four and a half. We've still got October half term left. We've spent 47 night away in the van so far and with about another 6 night to go, we will easily tip the 50. There's always a chance of more as well. It's unlikely we will get away at Christmas, but I never say never. Like you Jeff, I really don't know where the time goes these days.
I've threatened, when my wife retires and my youngest is in uni., money permitting I will have 6 months off all my other commitments and go away in the van after Easter and come back in October. Do all Europe! I reckon about 2017? Just think of all the photos - .
Quick run down then... Went away few times, one of my dogs was really ill but he's ok and on the mend thank goodness.
Oh and spent alot of time outside my caravan watching fruit ripen you know that's one of my fave pastimes and eating popcorn.
We are going to try and get away maybe two more weekends and then it may be it for the year as other stuff to do.

It doesnt seen like five minutes since our first trip of the season to our favourite CL last Easter! We are severely restricted due to school hols and OH's job (often has to work weekends in summer) so havent had as many weekends away as we'd like, although van has been used for every holiday.
Seriously thinking about a seasonal pitch for next year to maximise weekend and school hols use, although I realise this is whole other can of worms and new territory for us!
Could you not do what i do Annie that is,store it on the site and just pay for a pitch when you need it.I found this a far lot cheaper than a seasonal pitch..
Two more trips for us Halloween and bonfire night would like to do my birthday but as it Dec 29th not to sure other than that our first trip will be Feb half term done. Done 46 nights still got 8 to do even if we dont do dec
we had one long trip in April to the lakes and another one in 2 weeks to cornwall, had lots of plans for lots of trips away this year, then we decided to move! Oh well pleanty more years to come :) x
We've got October half term week and a bonfire weekend to go and then thats it until next Easter. We've managed 44 days in the caravan this Summer which is pretty good going as OH has only used 20 days from his work holiday allowance. My friends have complained that we are never home but we still want more!!!!! Its whizzed by but we've had some really fab times
I like the idea of siting the van on a year round site nearish to home over Winter so we can still sneak away for weekends, but such sites are few and far between and pricey
4 more trips booked for this year taking us up to end of november , then it will be service time , xmas + new year then hopefully back on the road late January.

Thats certainly another option Jeffers, if we could find a site we liked enough. Still undecided at the moment, we're so used to the convenience of the van in the garden.
