We've recently transferred for a FC to a caravan and used to have lino on the floor of the FC so used to just use a mini hand held car vac for the small floor area. But since we've switched the hand held vac has died dont know if i've burnt it using it on carpet or just simply over used it, so now the question what to get next? With having 2 young kids getting crumbs everywhere need something on hand for a quick clean up especially with the ideas of more trips without the OH in mind so no awning being used. I've seen a couple of Black and Decker type hand held ones today anyone know if they're any good or what's everyone else using?
I have the cleaner below. It's reasonably small, lightweight, powerful & has a brush (a brush really makes a big difference with carpet). It performs almost as good as my vacuum at home.
Hi Ishiply, Welcome to the world of tin tents. Hand helds not to good for carpets, I use a wee cheep Vacuum cleaner (cylinder type like the small dyson) Think I got it from instore for around £40 or less, Maker Synergy Electrical VC608 Vacuum cleaner it only weighs 3.5kg, not the most powerful vacuum cleaner but will be more than enough for caravan. Hope that helps
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
ihave a rubber sweeping brush as its picks up dust and hairs not just throws them about and a dust pan takes a minet to do much quicker than a hover and its allso handy for the awning eco ground sheet and washing any bird poo of the caravan
------------- Dyslexic not stuped
It's nice to be important but its more important to be nice
We have the Electrolux Z61A corded vacuum,49.99 from Argos. It is great for the caravan and i would definatly recommend it. If you look it up on the Argos website you will see that there are lots of excellent reviews for it there also.
Julie.

We have this one and it really is very good - we use it in the caravan and in the car. It has a crevice tool so you can get in to hard to reach areas its very powerful and only uses about 700watts so fine on the hook up. We bought it after reading lots of recommendations on here
