I have been given conflicting information about which end of an Esterel folding caravan to lift first. Does anyone KNOW the correct answer?

I`ve never owned one but have watched and chatted to a few owners one of which said he lifted according to wind direction, but what if the wind was sideways?

Thanks, I have had more people telling me the back goes up first, so if I'll go with the majority.

On our Esterel it is the back, since this is the end that locks.

Erection procedure is therefore: First thing unlock and remove lock, raise roof at this end.Go to opposite end and unclip retaining clips, raise roof at this end.

Folding away is opposite and when you finish folding you are at the end that locks. Makes sense.

Thanks, I guess mine is so old it doesn't actually lock - there are clips and I have added padlocks to each clip.
