We are trawling through ebay and autotrader for a new caravan. We dont want to spend a fortune, maybe £3k-£5k.
We'd love a fixed bed caravan but would consider a double dinette style. It must be a 4 berth fixed or 5 berth. We'd like to have a nice modern looking van as some of them do look dowdy.
When we had sold our last caravan we sold all the bits with it so too have these included in the sale would be a bonus.
When we talk to friends they say there are loads out there and you'll only need to spend £1500. I dont mind spending a little more as i'd like to tow abroad next year and want something good.
Have you tried preloved, this iste and also the caravan club...don't know if the camping & caravan club have a free adds, there is also caravan finder. Good luck!

If you're worried about reliability when towing, provided you get wheel bearings/brakes/coupling serviced & change tyres if they are old, it don't really matter about age of caravan. I tow my 80s 'van down to Spain no probs.

We bought ours from preloved for £4500. Came with water and waste water containers, porch awning, battery and EHU lead. The battery did give out on us on our second trip though. It's a 4 berth, fixed bed and we paid £4500 in May. We looked at loads on the internet for about £5000 give or take a few hundred either side but set ourselves a firm budget of £5000. Search for caravans a bit over budget, most sellers will come down from the asking price.
My sister in law will be selling their caravan as they will be buying another in December. It is a 1998 Fleetwood Colchester and has a side dinette with rear bathroom.
I know that the upholstery and carpets were all redone about 2 years ago when they bought it. It is a good sound caravan and I think they are interested in about £3500 for it without any accessories.
If interested, they live near Newport in Wales.

keep looking on ebay and bid on one you like, if it's not as described when you go to pick it up walk away, let your fingers do the walking as you don't have much to play with this is your best bet. hope this helps
