We have a second hand 2007 Lunar Solaris 3. We've only had it since May this year but have been very impressed with it. If i had the money i would love to have the Clubman with Alde heating.

Some people do say that the heating pipes go underneath the 'van,  therefore doesn't warm the 'vanvery well but we've not noticed it being cold when we have used the heating. Time will tell later in the year when the weather gots colder. Perhaps this isn't the same with the Alde heating system, i don't know.

I would certainly have another one.

we have a 2010 Lunar Lexon SB which was bought new to replace 2009 Bailey Pageant (1 year old van ) that had floor delamination .
I would say the build quality is better and in 21 months we have only had one minor electrical problem .

I've got a Delta and love it! Its my home from home and has not let me down in any way. Over 100 nights in it so far this year so it certainly gets tested out. Before I bought it I spent a lot of time looking at the build quality of other manufacturers and Lunar always seemed to be better and consistent. I would add that it is worth going to a dealer that is reasonably close to you and offers a good service and is not just after shifting as many 'vans as possible to meet targets.

Not sure if you are looking at new or second hand.  There was a period when Lunar produced abroad and seemed to get the Leaky Lunar name.

That being said, most of them were fine, just enough faulty ones to prompt the name.  And lets face it all brands manage to produce leaky vans at some point or another.  A friends Baily Ranger has had to have both front and rear panels replaced when he manufacturer apparantly discovered, that the panels on the van had been over tightened.  I suspect lots of vans left the factory line in the same state as my buddies.

In the period since returning to Brit production, I think about three years ago, the name has again become one of reliability.

Our Lunar is Belgian built and its fine, had it damp tested last March and all well within limits, not bad for a 6yr old caravan thats never been re-sealed
