Had a quote today for Red penant £666 for france only 185 days but it does include medical insurance for 3 people apart from being a funny number it seems very high when compared to other companys, RAC, Green flag etc even with medical cover, I would appreciate, any comments

After seeing what efforts Red Pennent went throught in France this year for a friend that was with us, I would now say it's worth every penny!

We have used it every year now for 7yrs and thought about not bothering this summer, as we have never needed to use it. Wow, we were glad we had.

They made it a very stress free experience for him. Phoned him at regular intervals to make sure all was going ok. Found him a hire car to use whilst his car was repaired in local garage.

He was able to continue his holiday as normal and collect his repaired car to travel home in a few days before we had to leave.

They even paid for the carriage of a steering rack from the UK to be sent out.

I wont be considering not using them in the future.

I did read your post correctly in that you are going for 185 days? If so thats about £4 a day which does not seem too bad if thats the case. I would agree that RP is expensive but it is about the best out there.

Thing is David that we are trying to go without necessarily coming back, sort of a trial move.
