I would like to warn potential purchasers about the following.
After travelling 130 miles today to collect a 2008 Bailey Ranger 500/5 from Evesham after some friends purchased it on Ebay we were greeted by the most mis represented pile of poo I have ever had the misfortune of seeing !
The little awning dings described by the seller were nothing short of huge dents the size of my fist !
These massive dents were not shown in the photos or mentioned during any phone conversations, the huge gouge where it has obviously been in contact with a wall were also not mentioned.
I went to collect it as my friends know nothing about caravans and this was to be there retirement treat to themselves. Luckily for them I went with them and told them not to touch it. This van is going to be re-listed on Ebay so, save yourself a wasted trip and avoid like the plague.
------------- Albino, Can"t say fairer than that !
I think its awful when sellers aren't honest - we've just sold a tent and awning on ebay and I was worried to death that the buyers wouldn't be happy (there was nothing at all wrong with it) so I don't think I could live with myself if I knowingly sold something which was poo !!!
Your poor friends must be really upset by it.

As an owner of a 500/5, I was initially concerned as to what your post might be about.
It's a disgrace to sell in that manner and similar to Cazza20's concern, I made damn sure I detailed an awning I sold recently to the absolute fine detail (advertised on here actually).
Sounds unlikely given the description, but it's suprising what some folk consider acceptable and it's vagually possible the seller might have believed it to be a reasonable advert, but it does prove to be cautious when buying in this manner.
