We have a chef party grill which we've had for several years, it has a griddle and a wok and is much less bulky than a cadac. Fairly easy to clean with some wire wool. If I wanted to cook a chicken I'd do it in the oven.
I've just bought a non-stick, washable cooking liner for the Cadac griddle. Most of the supermarket ones are a little on the small size ( the griddle is 375mm). This will need to be cut down to size, but hope it will be OK. Not sure what the difference is, but I bought the heavy duty (designed for fan assisted ovens). Hope it will be OK. Have I bought the right thing? See here.
We love our cadac, even though only used once, but HOW do you clean it , we used the griddle ,I even emailed Cadac and typical of good customer service these days was ignored
im not surprised ive been today as their main depot in the uk is in sheffield, there was 2 people working in the big warehouse not what i expected at all
Whoops dont know what happened there. But the point I was trying to say was that the Beauclaire is a much superior piece of kit. The only problem it has is that they are rubbish at marketing. The end product of this is that not many have heard of it. on the other hand Cadac has been advertised every where the end product of that is many people have bought them and passed on the word without knowing of the opposition. Oh by the way I had a Cadac that is why I believe in the Beauclaire.

Like all gas griddles its just a big frying pan, but with the lid on and a couple of twigs at the side for smoke its really handy, but I still carry the the suite case charcoal barbie as well.

Ill be really interested to see how you get on with the liner David, as Ive been contemplating buying one, but Im not sure how its going to work on the griddle side of the plate?
