The 2007 one, had two, but I converted to one 13 pin plug. I suspect the 2008 will have 2 plugs. I think 2009 was the first year the 13 pin plug was used by british manufacturers.
Been to see it again today armed with the information that you have given me. It has the alko wheel locks x 2, two electric leads but we dont think it has thief - beater.
Got a twin plug adaptor today and it has a spare wheel in the front locker. Can't wait to get it and go out in it but no chance of that until the wife gets out of Addenbrookes. Something to look forward to.
Well all our plans have changed. Wifes op cancelled until just before xmas (would you believe it). So we're now rushing around to complete the deal on the caravan and get all the gear we need so that we can take it out over half term. Pdi will take ages as theres so much to this van that we haven't had in the past and we have to remember it all otherwise we're going to be stuck. Hope to get away tomorrow afternoon, no idea where probably not too far away as we won't get it til late ish, giving us may be a couple of hours driving time at most. Don't want to be setting up a strange van in the dark. Then we'll probably move again into Shropshire or may be Powys but as I said it could be anywhere. Insured with Caravan club, the young lady on the phone was very proffessional and thorough.New for old and agreed a replacement should the worse happen. Car insuranced didn't want to know that we were towing, neither did Green flag, thought that they would!
Good luck! The only thing that I can think of that you may struggle with to begin with, is setting the Aldi heating, if you haven't used it before. It's a superb system though. Just set the control panel to what temp you want and you will find it so cosey! Heating under the front and rear beds, in the shoe cupboard, heated towel rail. I tended to set it to about 19 degrees in the winter. Plenty for us.
It can be a little confusing until you get the hang of it. We are setting off for a week in the Lakes tomorrow. Can't wait. It's our first time out with this van!
Make sure you take all the manuals with you. Have fun!
i have a 560-4 although smaller and unfortunately fleetwood have gone bust...spares if required are readily available as they use other makers parts....10 out of 10 for my van....best attribute...central heating...best van i have ever owned
How's the van goin Spluttery? Guess wot we,ve ended up in the lakes at Park Coppice
Decided our first trip should be somewhere we've never been and how lovely it is. The alde as u say is superb never had it before. Van ran superb behind the car. Its fun getting to know this van and what it can do. Forgot just one thing......waste pipes.
Moved onto Knaresborough to break the journey home. Knaresborough is a nice little town with its castle (whats left of it) and river views from the top of the town. Eventually mastered the alde heating system wow so hot. Gotta get a trolly jack the scizzor ones too awkward/difficult for fitting the two alko's needed for the insurance. Oh and the reich mover is superb, effortless.
Just picked up the van (Fleetwood Heritage) and want to heat it on electric from home. Heated it with gas but I want to be sure that with the hot water system drained down that I can still use the electric to heat the aldi system up without damaging the hot water system. ie put the electric system symbol on? Hope I've explained it well enough!
