If a pub makes dogs welcome then I want to give them my trade, I have two dogs and I am very pleased when we can take them in.  We always sit in the bar area obviously.  We holiday in this country so that we can have our dogs with us, if it wasn't for taking our dogs we would probably go abroad, so if pubs are struggling, then they have a lot of people who for the same reasons are holidaying in this country with their dogs, so they are losing business if they don't let dogs in.  As for the people who say they have an allergy to dogs, often the pub has their own dog anyway!

You can please some people,some time ,but you cant please everyone ,all the time ,the smokers stay in there caravan,with a bottle or two ,the dog owners ,have a home cookt meal,,and go home with a fatter wallet ,looking at all the for sale signs ,at ever inn they pass ,there can only be one winner

Dogs should be outside not in the pub/cafe with people eating food. As for Smokers, dont see any readon for not allwing separate areas for smoking/ non smoking as it used to be. Sorry all you dog lovers but thats the way i feel
