Actually, I find we do not use the microwave in the caravan (or indeed at home) that much, certainly not for anything very liquid, so it is not really a big problem.
Like at home, we use it mainly for defrosting things, cooking baked potatoes, and heating things like M&S macaroni cheese.

I agree, which is presumably why they are fitting them lower now.
They have obviously been listening to the customers, which is good.
I do think we need to accept that caravans have to be a compromise. If the M/W is to be much lower....something else has to suffer. It all depends on your priorities.
