Hi Ian.  It could be a simple case of no-one can be bothered to take the site down, especially if the tech team have been layed off.

Best wishes

After getting my van back from Discover Chorley branch I rang another Bailey dealership in the area as the window seals hadnt been replaced under warranty but the parts had been left inside the van. They were more than happy to take me on and dont forget they get paid for warranty work, also chances are you will take your van back for service. Iv just been inside mine to get it ready for half term holidays and the discover signs were inside and stickers, made me feel quite sad, still cant believe they have gone. Just hope the staff manage to find themselves decent jobs in time for Xmas.

This may already have been posted but have you seen the news item on Teesside Caravans website and their offer to help.

Its amazing that they have just opened and expanded while Discover goes under. I have no link other than that my van is stored there and they have serviced it the last two years.

Help for Discover Leisure Customers
The news that Discover Leisure has gone into administration is extremely sad for all concerned – staff, suppliers and customers.

Teesside Caravans will do our best to address any issues that customers of Discover Leisure may face now or in the coming weeks with regard to purchasing, servicing or warranty completion.

We will promise to try and ensure customers who have purchased caravans or motorhomes at Discover are not disappointed or out of pocket. Teesside Caravans are promising where possible to carry out warranty work on caravans or motorhomes purchased at Discover Leisure without any extra costs to customers. Teesside Caravans are an Approved Workshop regulated by the National Caravan Council, The Caravan Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club, authorised to complete warranty work by most major manufacturers.

We would like to point out we have NO LINKS to the Discover chain and are offering these services as we feel YOU the customer should not miss out or lose confidence in the industry.

TEESSIDE CARAVANS have been in the industry for over 15 years and are backed by The Hambleton Group, a family owned business based on Teesside for over 40 years. If you feel you are affected by the announcement please contact Teesside Caravans on 01642 764455 or admin at teessidecaravans.co.uk www.teessidecaravans.co.ukhttp://www.teessidecaravans.co.uk/latest-news.php?newsId=98914FD53720B6F78025792D00530220

We have only just found out about this and we are amazed. We went to the  NEC show on the first day and their stand was quite busy. We feel so sorry for the staff at Discover at Coppul. We thought the sales staff were the nicest bunch you could meet. Mark was lovely and nothing was too much trouble and he went out of his way to find the motorhome we wanted. We also met him at the show and he was his usual pleasant and helpful self. If you read this Mark I hope you will soon be fixed up with another job.If I was in the business Id give you a job anyday. You will be an asset to any company.

We live quite close to the Coppull site, driving past today all the caravans on the main part of the site have gone, but there are still some caravans and motorhomes directly in front of where the shop was.

Yesterday I actually met a caravan being towed by a truck coming out of there, very sad to see that.

Well managed to get our van back via the administrators and the warranty work is down to be done next Wednesday by the actual manufacturer of the windows which is a step in the right direction I suppose but we are still trying to get the van replaced. Will report back as and when!
Steve
