Just been to Salop Leisure and they have been voted by the readers of Practical caravan the Caravan Dealership of the Year .So well done to them they are very proud due to the fact that its the readers that do the voting :)
I wonder if this is the same dealership in Shrewsbury that offered us £2850 for our caravan and also grossly overcharged us for a few accessories we bought?
On a happier note another respected caravan dealership gave us £3950 trade in for the same caravan the next day which is when we found out how much extra we had paid for some accessories.
Not sure how they could have been voted dealership of the year and also not sure how many readers of PC magazine voted. Also wonder how many PC readers are Salop caravan customers. Pardon me for being a bit cynical.

I was there yesterday, and somehow managed to resist the cakes!! The accessories are a bit more expensive than a lot of other places, and some of the prices on used caravans appear a bit high, although I have not tried to do a deal with them. The service I have had from the accessory department has been superb, no problem taking an item back as I had changed my mind and I was given a complete refund.
I have to admit that they have a very nice accessory shop, but as it so huge in an almost brand new building with high prices, it does make you wonder if at some point in the future whether they will join Discovery?
Well done to them! Nice place to visit but vastly overpriced from a bottle of water in the cafe to the second hand vans on the pitch, on average I would say there is at least a 20 to 30% mark up on everything.

Says it all, really. Many readers will not have publicly registered their views(good or bad), so any dealership's ranking as published may not be representative across all the customers who have dealt with them.
In addition, a customer could have suffered badly at the hands of one dealer, then have been relatively satisfied by treatment received from a mediocre dealer; resulting in a distorted opinion.
