We have a Powrtouch mover. Only gripe is the lack of automatic engagement positioning as the tyre treads wear. Don't like the need to adjust the whole thing by moving it on the chassis, particularly the repositioning of the stop blocks, which have bolts that bite into the galvanized coating of the chassis.
We are considering a new van, and will probably go for an Al-ko Mammut mover. This fits onto provided bolt holes in the new Al-ko chassis, and there are no transverse fittings under the chassis, so ground clearance isn't reduced
I have also met a few caravanners who have had the misfortune to catch the very prone operating spindle of their Powrtouch mover on high kerbs; this even pushing the mover onto the tyre and immobilising the van until it is released.
Bertie.
