We've met D S B at the Black Horse campsite.
Recognised him from his listing and outfit description.
Talking over the hedge separating pitches - nice chap.
Small world, not six degrees of separation anymore!
I got chatting to someone during the August bank holiday at the Anglesey site I was on, a nice young couple with a child about two years old and they said they were members on here though I didn't get their names.
Tbh, I've been quite surprised that of all the people I've chatted to wherever I've camped not one person up to then had ever heard of this website.

We went to look at Go Outdoors in Bristol when it was newly opened, I was looking at the porta loos & a lovely lady gave me some advice about them. I commented about the visit & her helpfulness on here & she responded to my post with a "that was me BB" It's a shame I never got to talk to her about the Forum in the shop & I'm afraid I don't remember her name.
We ...nearly met Ratty at Tallington lakes he was pitched just accross from us. Didn't realise until we were hitched up to go and his friends and us were having a grumble because their children and us got up to the office at a few minutes past the leaving time and they wouldn't give us the key deposit back.
We keep our caravan at Moorhouse site in Holford Somerset, so if any member is going there next year, we would love to have a chat. Our caravan is a Bailey Senator.
I can definately recommend the site, and for campers as well it's brilliant, there is no shop on site, but shop less than 5 mins down the road.
Hi Rob12 and Bignose+joe. It was good to meet you both at Black Horse Farm. What a coincidence that you were pitched next door to each other and that we were just 'over the fence'. We left at about 10.50am on Friday morning but didn't get home until 5.30pm. Journey back was aweful but we had a nice few days away. Weather on Monday and Tuesday was brilliant for the time of year, and then we had that thunderstorm on Tuesday night. Wednesday was showery and was the only day we didn't risk doing breakfast on the Cadac. Thursday was dull but dry. Hope the kids enjoyed this part of Kent.
We always end up by going at least once to Dungeness. Don't ask me why! I just don't actually 'get' the place. Perhaps if I go back often enough I might.
i guess we will all have to get a uk campsite flag so we can tell when other members are about, just a suggestion instead of sending car stickers why not have access to the sticker so we can download it and print it and laminate ourselves saving the site money(not a lot but it all helps)

Hi Skiddy. Did you realise there is a downloads page where you can download an A5 and A3 poster? I don't think it's particularly easy to find, so here is the LINK.
A shame about your journey home!
It was very nice meeting you. It was funny actually meeting someone who you've already read a lot about through their posts.
We've only been caravanning for about three years, but most campers I've spoken to do know of this site and often use it for site reviews. I think that posting and the use of the forum areas might be less popular as you need to be a member to do this.
Nevertheless, we enjoy the site and the comments on the different threads.
