We love our Lunar, its a tried and tested layout that suits us just fine, and the third caravan that we have owned with the rear dinette.bunks with long front benches that we mostly leave up as singles when it comes to bedtime.

The best caravan we ever owned was a Coachman Genius 460SE, we bought her from new, and had four happy years in her until our teenagers no longer wanted to caravan with us.

If ever we were to consider buying a new caravan again it would be a Coachman, but it probably will never happen, as OH is planning to give up driving when he reaches 75 in 4 years time, and its too much for me to do long journeys driving these days as a lot of leg work plays havoc with my arthritis in my knees, so the Lunar will probably stay with us until we finally retire from the roads for good, other than a good mobility scooter that is lol  

The caravan we like the best is our present one - Bailey Pageant Sancerre.  Fixed bed and end washroom.  The caravan we had our best holidays: probably the Abbey Cachet - end washroom, with side dinette which converted to bunks.  This was the van we had for the longest and so we travelled with it all over Europe.  I'm still fond of our first van though - an ABI Marauder.  It was quite a basic van (we still had no fixed toilet and used a porta potti in the washroom).  Still quite a step up from the trailer tent though.  Oddly enough, the van we least liked was the van we had stolen - the Bailey Pageant Series 6 Vendee.  On paper it had everything we wanted: a full sized fixed bed (no cut-off) and a large lounge/seating area, but we found to loo/washroom an impossibly small size, the bed was claustrophobic and it was very cramped in the middle.  The wife thought it was a draughty van.

our 1st (current) tin tent is a '92 Avondale/Perle 'Orestes', 2 berth she's definitely given us the 'vanning bug, we only got her to give 'vanning a try as my OH said we we're getting too old for canvas camping. now wouldn't be without the tin tent

We've had 6 vans now. Had I been asked the question 3 months ago, I would have said that my Fleetwood Heritage had been the best van. But since then I have changed to a Buccaneer Caravel and it has just about taken over that slot.

A seriously well made van. Very happy so far.
