Contratulations Taneth.
What a great idea, camping at Christmas. Did suggest it to the wife a few weeks ago, but we're fully booked up with family etc.
Dohhhh.

Apparently we're to expect some very mild weather over the new year??
Does anyone know any details on this?
I was kind of hoping for snow, once I'm there of course. Then it can all melt away just in time for me to go home.
My friends will all be in tents, but some may be more snug than me, as a few of them have wood-burning stoves in their tents.

We have arrived at Crockwell Park CL at Kingskerwell near Newton Abbot, site is ok (will post a review), rather hairy typical Devon lanes to reach the site from the A380, but perfectly do-able with care.

Erm.... It looks like I'm camping (well, caravanning) now this christmas, but not going away, exactly......
My half brother has come to stay, so to make room I have moved out!
So I've got the caravan out of storage a week early & put it on the driveway!
I'm in it right now. Wifi signal's a bit up& down, but otherwise I'm lovin' it!
I wouldn't stay there too long or they'll start charging you council tax

Got back from Cornwall late yesterday and what a fabulous Christmas and New Year we have had. We could not find fault with the site in any way nothing was to much trouble for the owners Steve and Lene.

Hi all, Just bouncing off the back of this topic, I am thinking of buying our first caravan and given that weve just had a boring new years eve sat watching 3 kids (2x 5 year olds and a 40 year old!!!LOL) playing xbox games all night, I am considering taking a caravan away for the new year break next year. So, would it be worth it and would there be others to have a real new years eve party with?
