Pros and cons really.Prices are lower now I think but next year it'll be a year older. I think you need to be realistic about your price. I notice your van is quite new, if I were buying a fairly new van privately it would need to be a worthwhile saving on dealer prices. I also wouldn't leaving sitting on free ads for a long time if it doesn't sell.
You can advdertise for free via preloved or on here, or pay for a classified ad on **ay. Either way, lots of pics are useful and a full and honest description.

imho i think spring is the best time as people are thinking of forthcoming holidays but there is nothing to stop you putting it on a website now over the winter months.see
we sold our 2010 Bailey last month on ebay. We were very lucky in that we didnt lose any money from when we'd bought it (only had it three months but layout wasnt right hence selling so soon).
You've nothing to lose by advertising it, which layout is is? To us it seems double dinette vans are in short supply as we looked to replace our Bailey with a newish van in this layout but ended up buying new as we couldnt find one secondhand.

We're thinking of packing up and selling ours too Steve, we've got a house across the road about to change hands & we'll need to gain another car space here as soon as that goes through & I'm not into paying storage.
As our kids are starting to holiday with their friends instead of coming with us we're thinking it might be time to sell the caravan, awning and everything to go with it but like you, it's deciding when to advertsie it isn't it. Ours is only 2 years old & I think or at least, I hope a good van will always sell if it's priced right.
I think I might list it till the end of the month, then wait till Feb/March next year.
at savanne1 - It's the newer triple bunk layout with the rear dinette. Love the layout as it means we can lock the kids away (not literally unfortunately!) in the back of the van to do some colouring or something. It also means they are furthest away from the front so we can watch a bit of TV when they've gone to sleep.
As for extra's, I'd be throwing almost everything needed in with it - aquaroll, waste carrier etc... Might even get the buyer a new leisure battery as the existing one is one its last legs!
Must admit, we love the triple bunk - it really does give the kids their own space, and the bottom bunk lifts up when travelling to store "stuff"
Getting depressed just thinking about getting rid of it, but we'd realistically only be able to go away for maybe 2 weeks a year, and weekends are almost impossible so it's the right thing to do ( I THINK!)
hi Mrs A, well spotted. Yes I give up. New van has lots of problems that have come to light since we picked it up and spent the night in it. Very upset and stressed these last few days. Trying to decide if its worth getting it all sorted or not. In fairness to dealer been offered a full refund but its all stuff that should have been right in the first place.
Beginning to think its just not meant to be

Oh no! Are they serious problems or lots of niggles?
Not sure what I'd do inyour position. If the faults were major then I think I'd have a refund.....if it's lots of small things I'd make a list and get the dealer to fix it if I really liked the van. I have seen posts where folks have bought new vans and had to get niggles fixed but then we found a few bits wrong with our used one and had them fixed under warranty. You would think everything would be checked before you picked it up though. Hope you manage to sort it out :(
Most of it is niggles but a couple of more series issues and a salesman who told us a load of rubbish with regards to the warranty and the mover. Delaer has apologised and will "try" to resolve problems but said they cant guarantee it! We've made a long list but keep finding more things everytime we go in the van. We bought from a dealer 2.5hrs away and tbh its something we'll never do again. Big mistake.

Shame you have decided to sell your van, have you priced up family holidays if you have to rent something in school holidays? We've used campsites for 15 years and I can't believe how much we'd have to pay if we didn't use the van. We've just had to go to London, one night in half term £150 for 2 rooms in a Premier inn - £24.30 on a campsite for 4 of us. It might still be worth keeping it......
I think the caravan club website has a sales page as well as the ones others have mentioned on here.
