How the heck do we get the bungs out of our windows, tried tweezers, scisorrs, just cant get a grip of them,.

 anyone any ideas or help much appreciated

With my van in storage i am not sure if there is a small blind hole. If there is insert a small screw then pull. If not a drill small hole then screw.

Buy some new ones from your local dealer, then push the old ones into the bottom of the window, unless you look very carefully, you will not see the old ones in the bottom of the window

Hubby has tried tweezers, scissors to no avail.  He did eventually manage to get them out with a tiny pair of pliers and an even tinier screwdriver for leverage.  We have got one in the bottom of the window as well.  Not sure whether this was through error, temper, or he just couldnt be bothered fiddling anymore.

But if the bungs were in tight there wouldn't be any flies...unless they have one missing 

I have never tested the theory but apparently the end caps of bic biros fit the holes if you need one temporarily.

If you get condensation inside the window, you take the bung out, put the window some where warm like in the airing cupboard (preferably over night) until all the condensation has gone and the window is perfectly dry, now fit a new bung, job done!

Yes that is exactly why we want to take them out, one of the windows has condensation in and it is really annoying.

Will try the screw idea suggested by Chalkie if all else fails then will push them in and get new ones. When I have read about removing them they make it sound really easy but they are so frustrating, you just cant get any grip on them and end up scratching the window around the bung

Jenna,

We've taken ours out by using a sharp edge to lift the edge of the bung, don't scratch the plastic of the windows, and then used some long nosed pliers to get hold of the lifted edge as close the the middle of the bung as possible. Getting them out was easier than getting them back in!
