Dunhelm mill shops sell the foam blocks that are ideal for making a bunk base cushion, they also sell reasonably priced fabric to cover them, or extra large square pillowcases that do the job in their larger stores. you will need 4x24x22insx4 deep approx to make a top mattress, they retail at around £6 each, or at least they did when i bought some last year.

They should store under your rear dinette bed bases quite easily when not in use, but having said that ours got used for chair cushions in the Awning during the day,
