OK so come to Chester Crikey we have lots to do here - beautiful walled Roman City (which for us locals means all the amenities of a large City within a small area). We have the Coliseum, Cheshire Oaks, Chester Zoo, Blue Planet, Cheshire Ice Cream Farm, Candle Factory and Delamere Forest. Great swimming pool at Plas Madoc complete with flume and wave pool. If you have children theres a great play area and park in Frodsham called Castle Park My favourite local sites are - The Plassey-(which is our fave site) and Manor Wood. Others I've heard good things about are Cheshire Fairoaks, Fishpools, Lady Heyes, The Hollies - (amazing farm shop) and the CS at Christleton.
That's good Fiona - been to Chester many times, lovely - lets keep them coming.

Welcome To Redditch
Ok not the prettiest place in the world but a good central base, And is only 5 minutes from Junction 2 & 3 of the M42
We are 25 minutes drive from Birmingham city centre and 20 minutes from the NEC. We have a few parks including the Arrow Valley country Park which is a great place to go out if you have kids or dogs or both, Good flat paths to cycle round, Excellent play area, Free outdoor gym equipment, Visitors centre with cafe and Licenced bar, and lovely walks around the lake itself. We have a large shopping centre called the kingfisher shopping centre with plenty of car parks. Redditch was also at the heart of the needlemaking industry and a visit to Forge Mill Needle Museum is interesting and they have regular events going on their. We have 2 swimming pools, and a new one being constructed using the heat to warm the pool from the crematorium next door which is apparently the first of its kind in the UK
Within half an hour from Redditch you can get to, Stratford on Avon, Evesham, Birmingham, Worcester,Kidderminster,
There are not that many camping sites but just off the M42 Junction 3 is Chapel Lane caravan Club site so anyone staying there I would definitely recommend a visit to the Arrow Valley Country Park at least.
------------- Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
