I am just having a coffee having cleaned the roof of my van with Fenicks and that seems to cut through the grime pretty well. I also have their over wintering stuff which I have nor used before but not quite sure how to apply on the roof so may not bother. How do vans get so dirty, perhaps 6 weeks in the Scottish tropical weather
David - better get on with the rest of the van now!!!
I use an equivalent of drywash. Not to wash the whole van just to move black streaks. They come off with s single wipe and as it leaves a polished finish, the next black marks sit on top of the polish and are removed even easier.
Flash kitchen cleaner seems to work, though ive not tried it wash off well after use then use a good polish. On another thread the black streaks seem to come from a dirty roof so wash the roof as well.
I aways use Fenwicks Caravan Cleaner as I find that it shifts stubborn algea when worked in with a soft paint brush. Once it's done originally then all you need to do is just wash down about twice a year (once in spring and once in the autumn) just to keep the algea at bay. I have tried a couple of other products but find that this is the easiest and cheapest solution.
Thankyou all for your help with the replies to my question, opted for Fenwick's, we cleaned the caravan today and was amazed at how easy it was to do, was not looking forward to doing it as our caravan is a static 39 x 14, result was brilliant.
