You know when you read posts of people complaining about other inconsiderate caravanners? This is an example of the breed...obviously has no idea about his van (wow, the heating works!?), never bothered doing any research, just thought he was getting cheap holidays. After one or two trips, realised it wasn't that simple so he's selling up.
Probably towed with a Ford Focus 1.6 and thinks noseweight is a way of measuring cocaine!!

I bet his nose weight was high with the 13kg steel calor bottle crammed in the front locker .
And he's a chancer expecting £11000 for a 2009 Ranger which probably has no service history .
I wouldn't touch it with bargepole
Tbf, all he admits to is towing at 85mph on France. No separate speed limit for outfits under 3.5t there so 130k/81mph is legal on autoroutes. Plenty do tow at that speed.
New price was £13k & this one includes awning. Dealers have '09s of this model for £10-£10.5k, If he wants rid he will have to listen to sensible offers in't end. I don't think its fair to take apart ebay ads on this forum.
You can always spot em' a mile off when trying to sell a caravan on Ebay with all the useless personal information added. He admits to being a novice himself and explains that 'it's 'got a lock that goes on the towing thing' but reading the description it sounds like he's done it all and got the 'T' shirt to go with it. I bet if someone buys it and finds something wrong, his excuse would be that he knows very little about caravanning and hopefully get away with it. Anyone who understands about caravanning needs would stay away from articles of this nature as it's only the buyers money they're interested in.
The seller doesn't appear to be that knowledgeable about caravans, and I think probably a little unrealistic with regards to the price. Considering his 'lack of knowledge' he seems fairly set on achieving close to his £11,000 sale price. Personally I don't think he will achieve this, although it might be worth someone paying it just to stop him travelling at 85mph with a caravan on the back!!
its only a lighthearted post Tentz and you have to laugh at the angry kid bit.
We just bought a 2010 Ranger with mover, 2 awnings and everything you need for caravanning for alot less than his 11k asking price although maybe the fact his heating is so HOT and his 3 dents add value

Cant see at lot wrong with Ad ,except maybe being over optimistic on price at this time of year , 85mph in france is pretty common and not against the law ,so nothing wrong or dangerous there, a lot of small minded petty assumptions going of here from what i can see ,we can all sit at home and pick holes in ads,for all you know the guy could be a member on here and reading this at home
No, nothing to with me. The wording does suggest naivety on the part of the seller rather than a deliberate attempt to mislead, but I suppose one could find fault with plenty of other ebay ads & light heartedly take them apart on internet forums if one wished.
Provided the seller can prove title & will part with it at a sensible price taking account of service history/ingress warranty still current etc, there is no reason to suspect the caravan is any worse than any other.
I just think his sales pitch is just a bit over optimistic , he will realise he will have to come down in price when it dosnt sell, hope he's not a member watching this thread and seeing his listing being pulled apart in fun,and others having a laugh!!, it will either sell or it won't. Prospective buyers will make their own minds up . Glad I don't have a caravan listed on eBay.
Who knows he may have the last laugh! I for one hope he sells it good luck to him I say.
