plenty of towels as nowhere to dry them, l Tony B Tony B
Remind me to take some internal pics of our van. OH has installed, what he calls 'gypsy rails' - chrome rails along the top of ALL the cupboards. We can easily get 5 swimming towels dry over night: a problem we identified on our very first camping trip!

Oh, and we camp all year round. I love winter camping as much as summer. Different mentality but love shutting the blinds and curtains, cranking up the heating and having some good old fashioned family games of cards/chess etc

The whole reason I got a caravan was so I could enjoy camping all year round.
Mine is an oldie, & the pump is permanently attached, so I make sure the water barrel is well topped up, as it will then only freeze on top. I also made a jacket for it out of a household water tank jacket from Wickes. & I use some insulation around the pipe from the pump to the van.
None of this has been seriously tested yet, & I hadn't thought about the waste tanks. I will remember to empty them at night on the next trip (New Years (long)weekend near Cheltenham.
I've got some tap issues to sort, so I can use my own shower, as the last thing I want to do in winter is go out of the warm cosy van to the site showers (Brrrrr).
I did 3 nights last weekend though (maiden voyage) & all went well. I actually thought one of the main reasons for having a caravan was so you could camp all year, but judging by how many are wrapped up for the winter in their jackets, it's not as popular an idea as I thought.

Ive got an old duvet and some bubble wrap to make a jacket for the fresh water but I shall keep a few bottles of water inside just in case and we have gas and electric for heating and cooking.

Wickes have got hot water cylinder jackets on special offer at the moment, they are down from £7.99 to just £2.99 (could be £3.99, not absolutely sure).
I bought one to cover my cascade2 as the previous owner had lost the polystyrene jacket. I only used 1 out of the 4 panels for this & there was more than enough left to do an aquaroll.
I also bought a cold water header tank jacket from Wickes for a few quid, this is black in colour, rather than the red hot water jackets, but a much smaller item. There's stil enough there to cover one aquaroll though.
The hot water jackets are a better deal & better insulation, but they are quite a bright colour. I've still yet to make up my mind & make a permanent jacket for mine, I just grabbed whatever was closest when I used it last weekend.

Thanks for that I shall pop in and have a look.
