I wouldn't out of choice , obviously if you get caught out there's not really much choice, it's different if it is your job I was a van driver for car parts so had to drive in it, but if there is a choice taking the caravan in the snow then no I wouldn't , what do they always say when it snows, if your journey isn't necessary then stay at home. They don't say that just for fun.
If it was down to choice then I don't think I would tow a van in the snow, but I din't have a choice because it started snowing after I set off back home and also the snow was forcast for the evening and not 10 am in the morning but thats life!!!.

I shall be keeping a close eye on the weather around new years eve. I'm off to Cheltenham (from Kent Sussex border area) on the Friday & coming back on the Monday.
If there's snow or heavy winds forecast either end I will alter my plans. If that means an extra night or 2 on site then so be it.
I might like an adventure & relish a good driving challenge, but I'm not stupid. If the powers that be say don't travel, I will be staying where I am. If I get caught out en-route I will just do my best not to get stuck & cause a nuisance by blocking the road, & try to get where I'm going. If it means staying the night in a lay-by or services I will make sure I've got some water with me for a brew & get my head down.
RELAX everyone, unless your going to cairngorms its not gonna snow. The 15 day forecast is for mild weather. Enjoy your trip.
Everyone have a great Christmas.
I've driven heavy lorries for over thirty years & been out is snowy conditions as part of my work many times but I'd never drive out in bad conditions out of choice.
I will say, using our caravan over christmas just to get away from the rat race appeals to me but I'm the only one here who would do it. I guess if it snowed then I'd have two choices to make, tow it home or leave it where it was until conditions improved. It wouldn't worry me either way as I'd simply drive to the conditions of the road & take my time.
I have driven solo in snow the length & breadth of the country in the worst possible snow & don't have a problem with it but would only tow the caravan in snow if we were caught out on site. Even then I would prefer to extend my stay to avoid it.
