Hello everyone, I hope you've all had a great Christmas and I'd like to wish you all the very best for the New Year!
We are currently storing our van at a farm type place when we aren't using it. It's secure etc. but it's very awkward to access. Also, they have crammed that many in, it's very difficult to even open the door when it's parked up!
Is there such a thing as a site that will let us store the van, use the site occasionally and also take the van to other sites when it suits, returning it back there after the trip? I've seen a lot that seem to want you to leave the van there, almost like a static. However, this isn't what we bought the van for.
If there is such a site, does anyone know of one in the Derbyshire/High Peak area? If not a site, then an alternative storage area would do... Any suggestions would be gratefully received!
Cheers all,
Andy

We used to store our caravan at Don Amott's storage compound at Hilton, its fairly easy to access and 'secure by design' as its within their sales ground perimeter but through two sets of locked gates and a barrier away from the area open to the public for viewing of stock.
Access is available at the same hours as their sales and showroom are open, which can be a bit of a pain if you want to make an early start or return your caravan back after 6pm at night, and this was the deciding factor in us giving up our pitch with them and bringing the caravan home for good. They do however have an overnight CL type paddock that customers can use which is a couple of hundred yards down the road, and this may be worth making further enquiries about as to if it would be available for a couple of nights at weekends when needed but would still entail hitching up towing and pitching as its not a part of the main storage area.
I do know of a few farm storage areas around here, but non that have access to EHU whilst on the storage area, most are just a compound with locked gates and no other facilities, so probably not suitable for short stays or weekend breaks.
